Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-28
This Privacy Policy explains how App Waffle LLC ("App Waffle," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the website at appwaffle.com (the "Site"). It is written to be readable in plain English while still meeting the disclosure requirements of applicable privacy laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (collectively, "CCPA").
If you have any questions about this policy or about how we handle your information, email us at hello@appwaffle.com.
Who we are
App Waffle LLC is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Florida, USA, with a principal place of business in Bonita Springs, Florida. For purposes of GDPR and UK GDPR, App Waffle LLC is the "data controller" for any personal data processed in connection with the Site. For purposes of the CCPA, App Waffle LLC is the "business" that determines the purposes and means of processing personal information collected through the Site.
You can reach us at hello@appwaffle.com for any privacy-related question, request, or complaint.
Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy covers the Site at appwaffle.com. It does not cover any mobile or desktop applications we may release in the future ("our apps"); each app, when published, will have its own privacy disclosure made available through the relevant app store and, where applicable, linked from this Site. References below to "our apps" are forward-looking and do not describe data practices of any product currently in distribution.
What information we collect through the Site
The Site is a static marketing website. We do not operate accounts, login systems, contact forms, comment threads, newsletter sign-ups, ad networks, or analytics products on the Site at this time. As a result, we do not directly collect personal information from visitors.
The following limited categories of information are nevertheless processed in connection with making the Site available:
Server access logs. Our hosting provider, Microsoft Azure (specifically, Azure Static Web Apps), records standard server access information when your browser requests a page or asset from the Site. This typically includes your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the date and time of the request, the URL requested, the HTTP response status, the referring URL (if any), and your browser's user-agent string. This information is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site, including to detect and mitigate abuse, denial-of-service activity, and other security incidents. Under GDPR/UK GDPR, the lawful basis for processing this information is our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) in keeping the Site secure and operational.
Cookies and similar technologies. App Waffle's own code does not set cookies on the Site. Our hosting platform may set strictly necessary technical cookies or comparable storage tokens for purposes such as load balancing, request routing, or anti-abuse protection. We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, profiling, or analytics. Because we set no non-essential cookies, no consent banner is presented; if we add non-essential cookies in the future we will update this policy and provide an appropriate consent mechanism where the law requires one.
Email correspondence. If you choose to email us at hello@appwaffle.com, we will receive whatever information you choose to send (typically your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message). We use this information solely to read and respond to your message. Under GDPR/UK GDPR, the lawful basis is our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) in handling correspondence directed to us, or, where your message is a request to exercise a privacy right, compliance with a legal obligation under Article 6(1)(c).
Analytics. We do not currently operate any analytics product on the Site. If we add analytics in the future, we intend to use only services that produce aggregate, non-identifying statistics and do not build cross-site profiles of visitors, and we will update this policy before doing so.
We do not knowingly collect any "special category" personal data (such as health, biometric, or political information) through the Site, and we do not ask visitors to provide such information.
How we use information
We use the limited information described above only to:
- operate and serve the Site,
- protect the Site, our infrastructure, and visitors against abuse, fraud, and security threats,
- respond to messages you send us, and
- comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA. We do not use information collected through the Site for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We disclose the limited information described above only to:
Service providers / processors. Microsoft Corporation, as the operator of Microsoft Azure, hosts the Site and processes server access logs and routing information on our behalf. Microsoft, in turn, may use sub-processors as part of operating Azure. Microsoft acts as a "processor" under GDPR/UK GDPR and a "service provider" under the CCPA, and is contractually limited to processing information for the purpose of providing hosting services to us. Information about Azure's security and privacy practices is published by Microsoft at microsoft.com/trust-center.
Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), or governmental request, or is reasonably necessary to investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, or threats to the rights, property, or safety of App Waffle, our visitors, or the public.
Business transfers. If App Waffle is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, information processed in connection with the Site may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
International data transfers
App Waffle is based in the United States. Microsoft Azure operates a global network of data centers, so information processed in connection with the Site may be stored or processed in countries other than the one in which you reside. Where personal data of visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland is transferred to a country that has not been recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards, typically the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms maintained by Microsoft as our hosting provider.
How long we keep information
We keep server access logs only as long as needed for security, abuse prevention, and operational troubleshooting, after which they are deleted or aggregated by our hosting provider in line with Azure's standard log-retention practices. Email correspondence sent to hello@appwaffle.com is retained in our mailbox for as long as we reasonably need it to handle your inquiry and any follow-up, and is then deleted or archived in line with normal email-inbox practice. We do not retain personal information longer than is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
Security
We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information processed in connection with the Site, including HTTPS encryption in transit and reliance on a reputable cloud hosting provider with industry-standard security certifications. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is, however, completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information we process about you. We honor the following rights regardless of where you live, to the extent the limited information we process makes them meaningful:
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR). You have the right to request access to your personal data; the right to request correction of inaccurate data; the right to request erasure ("right to be forgotten"); the right to request restriction of processing; the right to object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests; the right to data portability where applicable; and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (we do not currently rely on consent for any Site processing). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. A list of EEA authorities is maintained at edpb.europa.eu, and the UK authority is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
For California residents (CCPA / CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how it has been used and disclosed; the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information; the right to request deletion of your personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA); and the right not to be subjected to discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights. The CCPA also gives California residents the right to designate an authorized agent to make a request on their behalf.
For all visitors. You may contact us at any time with questions or concerns about how we handle information.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@appwaffle.com from the address you used to contact us, or otherwise provide enough information for us to verify your identity in proportion to the sensitivity of the request. We will respond within the timeframes required by the law that applies to you (generally 30 days under GDPR/UK GDPR and 45 days under the CCPA, with a possible extension where the law permits). We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Children's privacy
The Site is a general-audience marketing website and is not directed to children under the age of 13. Consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent provisions of GDPR Article 8 for children in the EEA/UK, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher minimum age set by the law that applies to a particular child). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@appwaffle.com and we will delete it.
Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, services, or app-store listings. Those third parties have their own privacy policies, which we do not control and are not responsible for. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signals. Because we do not track visitors across sites, do not serve advertising, and do not engage in conduct that the CCPA defines as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, these signals do not change how the Site processes information. Where the law (such as the CCPA) treats Global Privacy Control as a valid opt-out signal, we honor it as such.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, take additional steps required by applicable law to notify you. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
